Additional topics addressed include differences between managers and leaders, what managers/leaders really do, best management/leadership practices, and selecting and enhancing a management/leadership style. The Power of Delegation

Delegation is an extremely powerful tool for maximizing a manager’s time, developing associates and getting the job done in an efficient and timely manner.

Delegation is both an art and a science and following proven techniques and guidelines will ensure that delegation is done successfully. The Power of Delegation Workshop will show managers how to delegate effectively without abdicating their role and their responsibility for seeing that the work is accomplished.

Participants will become skilled at determining what should be delegated, selecting to whom to delegate, how to delegate, assigning responsibility and the appropriate level of authority, and developing a workable monitoring and feedback process without micro-managing. Empowerment is explored and defined as the ultimate form of effective delegation, if done correctly and communicated appropriately.

Expected Results:

Increased understanding of delegation as a management tool
Improvements in determining what and how to delegate
Improved time management for managers
